Macap previews the Halo, a grind-by-weight commercial flagship with automatic burr calibration
Macap disclosed its next commercial flagship, the 'Halo Model', due to launch by the end of 2026: 83 mm flat burrs driven by a brushless motor with adjustable speed from 900 to 2,000 rpm, grind-by-weight dosing, and an automatic burr-adjustment system Macap says calibrates the gap to within one micron. Claimed output is up to 8 g/s at top speed with about 15% lower energy use and less noise; the anti-clump flapper swaps without tools and the chamber opens with four screws. No price was given.
Why it matters: Motorised, self-calibrating burr gap plus variable rpm is where cafe grinders are heading and home grinders tend to follow a few years later, so this is a spec sheet to benchmark against, not something to buy.
