German retail listings identify it as model PFE401C3 at 1,149 EUR with availability from September 2026; Bosch says a rollout across Europe, the UK and the US follows, without dates. No brew-pressure (OPV) figure or steam specs were published.
Why it matters: A mainstream appliance brand is going straight at the Breville Barista Express segment with a 58 mm basket and 2-degree PID steps, which widens the grinder-integrated entry tier; until someone measures actual brew pressure and thermoblock recovery, treat the 'barista-quality' claim as marketing.

Mahlkönig previewed the Xenia at Host Milan in October 2025 with a Q4 2025 target; the production machine, now named Xenia Brew-by-Sync, goes on sale in Germany and Denmark from 1 September 2026, with other European markets phased in through year end. It is a single-group dual boiler with four heating elements (one per boiler, two embedded in the group), triple PID, an integrated scale that stops the shot at a target in-cup weight, and Sync connectivity to the E64 WS Grind-by-Sync grinder; Mahlkönig claims roughly 50% higher steam pressure than typical home machines. Price reported at 2,999 EUR; no US date or price yet. The announcement date on Mahlkönig's page could not be verified (maker and press domains blocked), so it is left null here.
Why it matters: This is the first closed grinder-to-machine loop in a home dual boiler from a major grinder maker; if you own a Mahlkönig home grinder it is the machine built to talk to it, otherwise wait for hands-on temperature-stability and scale-accuracy measurements before paying 3,000 EUR.
